I have a whole cooked chicken in the fridge - no-one feels like eating it as is.... what are your suggestions.... I enjoy cooking but get so sick of thinking what to cook everyday...

Break it up, put it in a casserole dish, add whatever veg you like and a can of condensed soup or white/cheese sauce and bake at 180C for about 40mins or until well heated through & bubbling. A savoury crumble topping and/or grated cheese is also a nice addition.

Thanks winnie that sounds good!

when we have a whole chicken - this is what I do with the left overs...

Make a roux sauce (either with milk or with stock),
defrost some froz veges (in microwave - not cooked, but not icy any more).
put pre-rolled pastry in a pie dish

mix vege, sauce and chicken together - cook at 220 until it looks done

Miss (then) six... said "Mummy, I really like this - bread?"...

She obviously had never had her mother serve pastry before ... Now one of our family favourities

When I have left over chicken I break it up, put it in a casserole dish. Make a sauce with 1 packet maggi chicken noodle or plain soup, 1 small tin pineapple pieces plus juice, 1 teaspoon soya sauce, & 1/2 cup water. Mix & pour over chicken. Heat through for about an hour. Yummy.

pizza topping! Everyone can top their own:)

Chicken pie, stir fry also.

I never have a whole chicken. I'd eat the limbs one day, break up the rest of the meat for some other thing - chicken and mushroom canneloni probably. Leftover scraps end up as fried rice.

Freeze it, later on have it as a base for soup.

It's spelt cannelloni not canneloni.

In case anyone thinks this is the spelling police at work...it's not!

It's a little 'touché' for a recent fierce attack on mapman's spelling ;)

Hi there, I've just made a pasta bake with tomato & mozzarella sauce but it's really 'tangy' any suggestions as to what I could add to 'de-tang' it please :)

Thanks all... I appreciate it. In the end, as I had dinner already sorted, I decided to make wee satay chicken pies for the kids/hubby's pie warmer lunhes tomorrow - not too bad either
