Hi - I was talking to a friend the other day about hummus. Does anyone have a good recipe for hummus that doen't have tahini in it? (Her boy is allergic to sesame seeds among other things.)Thanks

hi- i just usually drain 1 can chickpeas, place in food processor with garlic, lemon juice, cumim, smooth peanut butter and season to taste. thinning down with the chickpea brine or water or yougurt you could use walnut, almond, sunflower seed butters too i guess. hope this helps.

maybe pine nuts as they are a seed rather than a nut ( not sure I am right, need to check that )

You can add any of the following- roasted pumpkin, roasted peppers, freshly ground cumin, chopped olives, ... just look in the supermarket chiller for flavour ideas.

I just use a Graigs recipe that has chickpeas, little oil, lemon juice and garlic mixed in a food processer, tastes great and cheaper than buying tahini.
