Hi simber, you can either use a maggi sachet foe beef stroganoff or heres a home made one
beef snitzel/sliced
1 lge onion chopped
2 cups of mushrooms sliced
1tsp beef stock
1/2 c water
2 Tlbspns tomato paste
s&p
1/2c of plain youghert or sour cream
handful of chopped parsley

cut beef into strips, add to crockpot, add onions mushrooms
mix water stock, tomato paste and pour over the top leave in crockpot on low 6hrs,then add youghert or sour cream and parsley use some cornflour and water if neededto thicken the sauce....

I basically do what miss-skyline has said but I dont add the mushrooms until the meat is cooked (you can microwave first if you come home from work and the meat is already cooked) and I stir the sour cream in just before serving.
I serve this with mashed potatoes and peas.
As the strips are thinner than chunks of meat I cook this on low.

you could crumb it, and fry it quick and easy, just flour it, dunk in egg/milk mix, then in the crumbs and into the pan no good for the slow cooker though, but is great if you got good snitzel
