steam them, a little ch. onion and butter,salt and pepper. roasted is how we like them the most. They also can stretch out fruit, as they take on most flavours. They are very popular in my entire family, odd sort of veg, for most though.

Peel them and core them.Poach them slightly in salted boiled water.Make a cheese sauce with some of the salted cooking water and milk etc.I also add some parsley.Put in baking dish cover with cheese sauce and top with a bit of grated cheese and bake.Divine and loved by all.I have it with a roast.
