Large banana cake please to feed a family of 15

I have xtras staying for a week and am wanting a large banana cake recipe ive tried to double the basic recipe before and still end up with a thin cake can anyone please recommend sumnthing to me or tell me why that happens thanks in advance

I make this in a 23cm round cake tin and it makes a big deep cake.

Banana Cake
150g Butter
250g sugar
3 eggs
5 bananas
5 tbsp boiling milk
1 ½ tsp baking soda
1 ½ tsp baking powder
375g flour

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs.
Add mashed bananas.
Stir in baking soda and milk, previously mixed.
Fold in flour and baking powder.
Bake 180c 50 – 60 minutes.

this is super yummy and moist makes a big cake but for 15 i would double the recipe this is my great grandmothers recipe

banana cake
1/2 C oil
3 mashed bananas the big ones
1 C milk
2 eggs
2 C sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 tsps baking soda
2 tsps vanilla ess
2 C flour

mix as shown bake at 160 or 140 fan oven for 1 hour or until skewer comes out clean. Enjoy!!

lol now im just plain hungry, just one thing what is 250g sugar and 375g flour converted into cups
