Cooking fresh pasta help please

For tea I have fresh pasta that says boil for 10 mis! ok I get that but I want to put it in a cream sauce, with chicken (cooked) and red pepper etc, how long does the cream take to reduce down and thicken, so I can then just pop the cooked pasta in and stir thru, Or do you have any better ideas of how you do it
