All I've ever done is boil it. Don't know of any other way.

It's the only way I have cooked it. I use lots of spices i.e. mixed spice, cinammon stick, peppercorns. That is what makes it taste really nice.

just like corned beeforcover with water add an onion quartered & some whole peppercorns- don't over cook. If having cold leave to cool in the liquid to keep it moist

Crock Pot Pickled Pork
Best left in the fridge in foil to marinate overnight
Mix together 2 tbsp honey and 2 tbsp wholegrain mustard with a little salt and black pepper...Warm in saucepan on low heat...
Pour over pork and cover well... Wrap and seal in tinfoil pocket....
Place the wrapped pork on an upturned saucer in the crock pot and pour about an inch of water in the bottom....
Leave on low all day and place still wrapped on bench for half an hour to rest.

I put it in a roasting dish with a few bits and pieces (part of the recipe), covered it, cooked it then removed the cover near the end.
Seemed to me it would be awfully squashy boiled. The covered roasting worked really well.
