A question for lactose intolerant people

Having two lactose intolerant children in the household, I've avoided using cream in desserts etc. However, I've recently been told that cream may be all right. Can anyone confirm or deny this? TIA

if it is unpasteurised your child will have no probs...
google raw milk and lactose intolerance. .
Dont know if cream is pasteurised we get ours direct from the cow.

Thanks for that. We made a chocolate mousse, and the children have had a little. Here's hoping it's OK!

My brother-in-law is lactose intolerant, but he still has a little milk in his coffee, and he still eats ice cream without problems. He says that if he drinks a lot of milk, then he will suffer lactose intolerant symptoms. So he is able to tolerate a small amount of milk/milk products. However, there are some people who are lactose intolerant and cannot tolerate even the slightest trace of milk products.

I think it is all individual, and it is up to each person to find out for themselves if they can tolerate even a little milk or cream or chocolate mousse. Yes, it is just a matter of trying a little bit, and hoping for the best.
