Here's a very nice...

Sugar and Spice Palmiers... . for Trade Me Recipes Users...

1 sheet flakey puff pastry
2 tblsp raw sugar
1 tsp mixed spice
1 tsp ground cinnamon
40g butter melted &
icing sugar to dust.
Preheat oven 210C.
Lightly grease two baking trays and line with baking paper.
Combine sugar and spices in small bowl.
Cut pastry sheet in half and brush with melted butter, then sprinkle with sugar-spice mix reserving two teaspoons of mix.
Fold the long edges of pastry inwards to the middle and repeat with opposite side to meet in middle then fold once more inwards for the middle part to come one edge, place on a baking tray for 15 minutes.
Using a small sharp knife cut the pastry into 32 pieces-slices.
Arrange the palmiers cut side up on prepared trays, brush with butter and sprinkle lightly with reserved sugar-spice mix.
Bake for 20 minutes or until golden.
Transfer palmiers to wire rack, allow to cool then dust with icing sugar before serving.

Cinnamon Pinwheels:

1 1/2 cups plain flour, 25 grams butter, 3 tspns baking powder, 5-7 Tblspns milk.

Sift flour, baking powder into a bowl. Rub butter into dry ingredients. Add milk and mix well into a ball. Roll out into a rectangle, 1 cm thick. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1 tspn cinnamon. Roll into a log from short side and cut into slices. Place on oven tray using a piece of baking paper. Cook in 200 oC. , for about 10/15 mins.

Comment:need to be eaten on the same day, nice buttered.
