Morning ladies/gents, question please from a non cook!Do you think the packet cup cake mix is just as good as home-made cup cakes? This is for a kids party.Thanks in advance.

The vanilla sponge recipe in a packet is good for a child's birthday party. As long as you make them close to when they will be eaten as I have found the don't last fresh long. If you want something to last fresh longer I have made this cake recipe into cupcakes. http://www.bestrecipes.com.au/recipe/White-Chocolate-Mud-Cake-L632.html. It will make 20 good sized cupcakes and freezes well if you want to make in advance

word of advice, all ingredients MUST be at room temperature, and do not overmix once the flour is added

just love the edmonds buttercake packet mix...so easy and very tasty. hate to admit to buying one and making it....just thought i would one day, and i am hooked. only this one tho.
