I made a marshmellow slice thing and the marshmellow has gone all chalky lol - dam will p*ssed me off because i looked so good! Can you over whip marshmellow?

Hi.. I haven't found that happens - I think over-beating would probably result in the marshmallow partially setting and not being as easy to spread..
Would you share your recipe please, so one of us can see what might have caused the problem??
