Made cookies with rice flour for the first time and they've come out very crumbly, not sure what went wrong.
Can I use rice flour in the same way as normal flour?

No you can't.Rice flour has no gluten and therefore will not hold together in a dough.

Rice flour is not often used in Western baking. Some shortbread recipes include a small quantity.

If you want to use up rice flour I suggest that you research Asian dumplings, pancakes and desserts.
