can I use frozen berries successfully to make annabelles cloud cake - thinking of using frozen boysenberries as strawberries were a bit too sweet - and also wondered about using sponge instead of biscuit crumbs

sponge should be a nice base. haven't used frozen berries, but used plum juice/pulp and it was yummy. the extra liquid didn't affect the outcome. I say go for it!
