i want to make a gf loaf and not sure if the yeast is ok

Sprinkle some yeast over some warm water & leave to one side. It should bubble up within 10 minutes or less, if it doesn't bubble up well then throw it away and buy fresh yeast.

sprinkle some sugar in the water. yeast needs food.
