Pre-cook roast of pork?

Can I pre-cook a roast of pork and then reheat before dinner.
I have a time clash with when I would normally put the roast in the oven for dinner at night. Thanks for any advise.

I have done this before cook the roast for the normal time minus 1/2 an hour. cover with tin foil and leave in oven. reheatthe meat when home for half and hour to warm though again( take off foil when rewarming)

you could cut it and zap it in the microbe then serve. (ready sliced)

Thanks - really helpful. Has anyone done roast pork in a slowcooker?

Can roast then slice....make gravy and reheat meat in the gravy when you are ready. You can do it in the slow cooker....nice and tender and falls apart...no crackling though

I sometimes do this and it works fine make extra gravy, roast as normal set the crackling aside to reheat in the oven under the grill. The meat I reheat the gravy in a pot add the meat stir over the heat for a minute then serve Tastes just like normal no difference it just has that preprepared feel if you know what I mean. Pays to cut the meat a bit thicker so it dooesn't break up as much.
