If a cake is meant to be baked in a 8 inch round tin and i want to bake in a 9 inch and have a higher cake.If i double the mix how much longer would I need to leave in the oven????

I think double the mixture would overflow your 9 inch tin.

its a pretty flat cake in the 9inch tin.I beleive a chocolate type cake mix should fill half the tin?? before baking
