Bread knives

Can you sharpen these, if so where would do it? We have a mundial and victorinox knife and they both squash the bread when using. Or is it poor technique, is there a secret to cutting bread. Cheers

try turning the loaf onto its side and cut. dont think you can sharpen bread knives. cut slowly and dont apply too much pressure.

is one side of the knife flat?
you can use an oil stone, or if you are really good and have a round [not rats tail] file you can do as you would to a chainsaw blade.

Yes, you can, however, it is probably best to get a recommended knife sharpener to do this for you unless you are really handy with a steel. House Of knives have a sharpening service.

No idea about sharpening but the best thing we ever bought for slicing fresh bread is an electic knife. It's pretty much the only thing I use it for but it was worthwhile buying.
