Hi everyone I'm looking for a recipe for a slice I used to make and can not remember the name of.It has a plain base (although I add cocoa and make it chocolate), spread with jam and a layer of chocolate coconut mix.I remember the topping has butter, sugar, eggs and cocoa and is cooked in pot then poured over the base.Does anybody have this recipe? It would be very much appreciated, thanks.

Would it not be churchill slice?

Coconut rough is different, with cocoa and coconut and chocolate icing sprinkled with coconut.

This is what my Mum called Chocolate Ruff:
Chocolate Ruff (No eggs)
4 oz butter
1 cup flour
4 oz sugar
1 cup coconut (optional in base)
1 tsp cocoa
1 tsp bp
Cream butter and sugar, add a little hot water.Mix all to a soft dough and press into a tin. Cook 20 – 25 mins in mod. oven.
When cooked and while still hot, spread with icing:
1 cup coconut
1 cup icing sugar
1 tsp butter
2 tsp cocoa
vanilla ess.
Mix with hot water and spread on top.Cut into fingers.
I haven't made it for ages, must bake it again.
