I always make mine in the crock pot using an Alison Holst recipe too - delicious. It is made altogether in a pot - cuts down on the washing up too.

I did first time this xmas, and it was beautiful. The recipe was so easy and it says will keep in fridge for up to 6 wek sor you can freeze.I put mine in a plastic bowl with lid in the fridge (Eernest Adams ones are in bowl, so figured ok) and just sliced off when wanted and pressed "reheat" on microwave which actually dosnt cook it, just heats it through and yum!!will def do again..........(Mrs W)

I made one as a trial run before Christmas day.It was ENORMOUS!

Mr Daisy insisted on pouring brandy over it and setting fire to it.Turned out delicious served with custard.
