Help for a bloke cooking a ham

ok tmmb's,john is cooking the ham. home reared,locally smoked.Bone in. 48 hours in fridge seems to have defosted it.am now soaking in chilly bin for 24 hours ,changing water every 5-7 hours. will then put in roasting dish , in a foil 'tent',all good so far me thinks.so cooking time? it's a leg,11.5 kg's, so this bit! bake at 170deg for how long? i don't want to under cook,but 8 hours?10 hours? till falling off the bone?till the whiskey bottle is empty?

Gosh, this reminds me of the real old days when one was a child in a state house that had one of those big laundry coppers.

One lit a fire under to heat the water.

My parents used this to cook Christmas ham from the raw state and it would be going all day. The water wasn't boiling but hot enough to get that real nice tender eating state.

Absolutely lovely.

Sorry for slightly going of your thoughts but very similar to some degree.

about 6-8 hours i would think, I presume it has already been cooked as a smoked ham.
If it has then you only want to heat it through. If it is a raw ham then at least the 8 hours.
