A question on the Strawberry Cloud Cake please.

Do you pulp the strawberry or do you just slice and put into the mixer that way.Cheers.

jaybee6, the recipe says "hulled and sliced" so no the strawberries are not pulped - they are simply placed "in the clean dry bowl of an electric mixer" with the egg white, lemon juice and vanilla.:-))

Yes, just slice them. I wasn't sure if it would work but it did.

Hey - I never read the bit about slicing them.I just stuck them in whole!They mushed up fine lol.Will never slice again.

I just made this again yesterday.Used raspberries and few drops of rose water.increased the lemon juice to about 1 tbsp.Really nice.not as sweet, the raspberries add sharpness and freshness.Am using it as ice cream with my black forest 'trifle' on Christmas Day

Thanks for that and I did read just sliced but thought this would be a bit hard on the mixer. I wizzed mine for a minute and made it easier.Cheers.
