I'm not sure - will depend on your recipe, and it won't work well if you beat egg whites or similar. I made these last Christmas (and will be doing them again next weekend) by getting everything ready to throw together - i.e dry ingredients measured and mixed, everything in bowls like TV cooking shows, tins ready to go - then just whipped out, threw them together, popped in the oven. It meant about 15-20 minutes away from the table but sometimes a little reprieve can be nice. ;-)
