Christmas Morning tea

Anyone have any great ideas for something different to have for a christmas morning tea. Bit tired of mince pies and cake. Catering for 15-20

timetable, Dec 6, 11:00pm
what about nice festive rolls - sandwich slice bread with a filling of cream cheese and diced apricot mix, or cream cheese and diced crystalised ginger mix, asparagus, cream cheese and salmon mix, or cream chesse and corn relish mix.

christmas slice: 2pkts of malt bickies crushed in the food processor finely, then add chopped apricots or crystalised ginger with red and green glace cherries and mix well.in a micro bowl or jug melt 200gm's of butter and then add 1 tin of condensed milk, mix well and then warm through for about a min to make sure that it is all well combinded.then make a well in the centre of the bickie mix and mix well.press into a gladwrap lined sponge roll or square tin and press out flat.in the fridge till firm and then slice.you can chop dip the cnr of each piece to fancy it up a bit.

your fav shortbread mix, roll into a long sausage shape and slice so that they are smaller bite size pieces and then bake.frezze and then choc dip half the bickie.

sponge's jamed and creamed and then decorated with christmas colours - like fresh cherries or a combination of strawberries and kiwi fruit - the red and green thing or you could go gold with kiwi gold kiwifruit.

club sandwichs - again the red and green them with lettuce, tom's, ham etc...

spreads and dips platters are ok for a morning tea as well, and or a fruit platter.

have fun!!!
