Will it be ok? (whipped cream)

If i put the whipped cream and jam in a cake now that i wouldn't be using until lunch time tomorrow.

It would be better to do it closer to lunchtime tomorrow, the cream will go "flat" kind of, and the water may well come out of it making your cake go a bit soggy.

Apart from that, if you put the cream in now, the whole cake would need to be refrigerated.How would the refrigeration affect the cake?
