UK conversion

We have a receipt for cheesecake and it says use 3 gelatine Leaves , does anyone know what this converts to here? Thanks

angiejay, you're in luck - this is a bit of info' that I found just recently - "As a guide: 6 gelatine leaves= 1 sachet (10g)= 3 tsp powdered gelatine which will set 500ml liquid to a light jelly. "

Hope that helps, but did you realise that gelatine can be bought in leaf form here in N. Z. too? :-))

angiejay, I see from your profile that, like myself, you are here in Chch City so I've had a think re likely sources of the gelatine leaves and no doubt they can be found in other places too but one place that DOES have them is Mercato:-
