microwave with butter and a sniff of water....covered in clingwrap....few minutes....leave in dish....delicious

If it's thin and fresh, eat it raw. it's a lot like fresh peas.

MMMMMM first of the fresh new season stuff in the shops now, we are having it for dinner tonight with pasta and lemon chicken.

i microwave mine too, wrap in papertowels (that i spritz down with water to damp not soggy) with a little sprinkling of salt and pepper

Microwave on high until the asparagus is just crisp tender, about 2-3mins

Remove from the microwave using tongs and carefully unwrap. Arrange on a serving platter and serve immediately.

Steamed for us. Just bought two large bags at Tender Tips up near Himitangi beach and used one bag last night in an asparagus risotto. Tonight or tomorrow will be steamed with a little butter and lemon juice.

Steamed for me too. I use the George Foreman Steamer for all my vegies so no salt required - the flavour is beautiful
