Just wondering, some people have mentioned freezing cakes to decorate, I'm going to make No.1 cakes for my twins' birthdays, do you mean bake the cake, freeze it and then cut it to shape? Do I then defrost it before icing? Thanks heaps

I think freezing it makes it easier to cut and less chance of crumbs getting in your icing.They don't freeze rock hard so are easy to cut and thaw quite fast.
