Help please from someone who makes this. I have a recipe that I followed half way and gave up. No idea where I went wrong. Boiled 3 slices of spud in one cup water and when cooled mashed it as per instructions. The next bit was when I got lost. The recipe said add one tsp sugar and 2 cups flour and mix to a paste? ? ? Once the 2 cups of flour were in there it was the consistancy of breadcrumbs not paste? ? ? ? Any suggestions please? I didn't go any further but the rest was to leave 'paste' mix in warm place till risen then add 5 cups flour 1 tsp baking soda and pinch of salt etc... I would really like to make this for the old boy. Thanks. .
