walez, have a look at:-

There's a choice of both oven-cooked and microwave-cooked chocolate self-saucing puddings there including the one I have used for 25 years and it's easy - simply melt the butter and add it to the other ingredients, no creaming required, and in case this is important to you... it's eggless too. :-))

2 tbspns butter melted, ½ teasp salt, ¾ cup sugar, 2 tbspn cocoa
1 teasp vanilla, 1 cup self-raising flour, ½ cup milk
Sauce:
½ cup brown sugar, 2 tbspns coconut, 1 tbspn cocoa, 1½ cups boiling water

Mix all pudding ingredients, mix and spread into a large ring mould. Combine dry sauce ingredients and sprinkle over pudding. Pour over boiling water. Cook, elevated, on high for 7 minutes.

ive never baked anything in my microwave and just wondered how does the pudding compared to being cooked in the oven-theres a hell of a lot of time to be saved.

I don't bake anything else in the microwave either but this really is a winner. Kids always loved it and it is a star turn in all three of their student flats.
