You must add 250 ml brandy as well. that's the secret to the "warm" feeling it gives. Don't. don't, let it boil at all. the alcohol content will be gone! There's a crock pot one somewhere if I can find it. good when there's a crowd. 1 cup boiling water 2 1/2 cups orange juice 4 cups red wine 1 cup brandy 3 cinnamon sticks 8 whole cloves 1 smallish lemon thinly sliced 1/2 orange sliced thinly 3/4 cup brown sugar Preheat crockpot for 20 minutes Combine the sugar and water in crockpot and stir until sugar is dissolved Add cinammon stick, cloves, wine, brandy and lemon and orange. Cover with lid and cook on low / auto for 3-4 hours or on high for 1-2 hours. The mixture must not boil. Turn crockpot to low / auto and serve hot

Or you can bottle up once cold and reheat individual serves. which reminds me . I have a bottle in the pantry . off to imbibe
