Making Strawberry jam from home grown fruit - does it need to be kept in a fridge or can it be bottled and just kept in the pantry if unopened?

in the pantry for sure :)

I made 6 large jars a week ago the locusts descended now there are 2.5 left, going to have to hide it.

If sugar content is equal to berry content, fine in your pantry. is less sugar to berries, then best in the fridge.

Thanks only 2 locusts in this house so hopefully will last a while.

wife made 3 batches of Strawberry jam in the last month and 2nd batch - they all taste 'off'. I don't know what it is but all the jars she made in the 2nd batch taste foul!
She used 3 punnets strawberries, 1 pkt of jam setting sugar and the first and 3rd batch were ok, 3nd batch were yuck
anyone know what might have gone wrong?
