I thought I had purchased the nibs and I realise now that I am home, I got beans. If i crush them and blend them will it be the same as nibs or not?

Yes the same but nibs don't have the skin on them which I find a bit bitter/funny textured on the tongue. The skins are a bit tricky to get off and my son once did a school science project on it but for the life of me can't remember the results.
