Brocolli & Blue Cheese soup

Found a good recipe for this and will make it tonight
the recipe said 1 kumara cut into chunks, would a potato be an ok substitute, as wife is not too fond of kumara

I can't see why not.

muffin2, I agree with samanya re using potato instead of kumara, or alternatively I would be more likely to simply forget about the kumara or any substitute for it and I'm sure the soup would be just as nice, if not nicer. :-))

I thot it was chicken stock Blue Vein cheese and softened brocolli, thats boiled.
Thro it all in the blender then heat and serve.
