Sultana cake question

How do you stop sultanas dropping to the bottom . I know if you dip them in flour suppose to work, but it doesnt. any help will be appreciated. Thanks

wash your sultanas and let them dry they pump up and you will be surprised at the dirt that comes away from them roll in flour when your cooking with them and cream your butter and sugar well . they should not drop if your mix is right .it could be a typo in your cook book

s the above said. Soak in hot water till they plump up, drain well, toss in some of the flour and stir gently into the mixture. Works every time.

soak in left over wine after washing or fruit juice for more flavor ive also used ginger ale

wash in water and let drain then soak in wine or gingerale or fruit juice i find water has a flat taste then drain and toss in flour
