What is wrong with cerebos pickles they seem to be kind of glugy and a lot of it just seems to be hard lumps as though never cooked properly it has changed a lot

yes I have noticed that too. I do make a lot of my own, but hubby does like a certain one,that I couldnt make.

Most of the old names we are used to are rubbish now. Maximum profit and all that. Try the "Anathoth" brand as they seem quite reliable on quality.

That is debatable as Anathoth were owned by Barkers of Geraldine who are now controlled by the French group, Andros.
