I have some broad beans to freeze do I need to blanch them or can they go straight in the freezer as is Thanks.

midnight42, we have always blanched broad beans before freezing them - we believe that is the best option for ensuring a good eating product so will be interested to see if others successfully do the alternative and put the podded beans "straight in the freezer as is". :-))

I blanched them last year and they were great,just feeling a bit lazy I guess.
