Bacon Hock

someone took it out the freezer.
Ideas please?

Boil up a large pot of green split pea soup and re freeze for colder weather.

Gonna try this next time Mr arrives home with a bacon hock, as have heaps of soup also.
Braised Pork hocks, chinese style.
Pork hocks, chicken stock,1 cup light Soy sauce
1 cup shaoxing Wine
150 g yellow rock sugar
2 pieces dried mandarins or orange peel
2 sticks Cinnamon
4 star anise
1 large knob of Ginger peeled and sliced
3 Cloves Garlic
Boil hock 3-5 mins drain brown in hot pan. Put browned hocks in C/Pot add stock which has other ing added to it, just enough to almost cover hocks lid on and cook. Recipe from davidt
You can roast them apparently according to google.

Cook it and make a bacon & egg pie. I often do this and it tastes great.

Fifie that recipe is for fresh pork hocks, not bacon hocks.
