I made a self saucing chocolate pudding and was wondering when pouring sauce mix over before cooking is it supposed to come up over the cake or fill up only 1/2 way.

I have never had one come up over the cake, would depend on the amount of sauce I guess.

Yes I've made 2... tried to make a smaller one and wanted heaps of sauce so used 2 cups of sauce, was too much sauce I think it was over the top of cake when put in oven and then went all thick. First one was better. So will use 1 cup flour in cake and bout 1 1/2 cups sauce ratio.
