Almond flour

can I substitute for wheat flour if so what amounts please?

You can't make a direct substitution as almond flour has different properties. It is best to use a recipe especially designed for almond flour.

What do you want to make? It is likely that someone can give you a proper recipe.

I substitute wheat flour with a 50/50 mix of ground almonds and rice flour. Sometimes I also use coconut flour as well, depending on the baking.
Be careful if buying pre mixed gluten free flours as sometimes they don't mix well with wet ingredients. But I have found that rice, almond and coconut work well.

I am making magic custard cake,it' has only 3/4 cup flour but thought it might make a different /nicer taste?

Maybe worthy of a go, you can only know once you have done it so do it and use similar amounts. It is on your mind, now need to clear your mind.

What is the worst case scenario?

Cheers.
