I used to make these a lot when the kids were little and money tight, but did them again tonight and forgot how delicious they are.
Simply put grated apple and cinnamon inside a toastie pie . butter on outside of bread etc as you would a savoury one . dust with icing sugar and eat warm.

Sliced peaches work well in a toastie too.
Another quick and tasty dessert is lightly toasted raisin bread with thin slices of raw apple on top.
