Great cake recipes you must try!

I found this recipe:

2 cups self raising flour
1 cup sugar
1 tin of crushed pineapple in juice

Mix all together.
Bake at 180 Celsius for about 30 minutes.

Sooooo quick, easy, moist and delicious.
So I decided to play around with it and do something different & more decadent. Here goes.

2 cups self raising flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1 tin raspberries in juice
Chocolate chips (as many or few as you enjoy)

Again, just mix and bake.
This one is so decadent and dense. The easiest cakes ever and so moist. Very chocolate gateau-ish.

daleaway, I kept the 3 Ingredient Pineapple Cake recipe from one of our suburban newspapers about 5 years ago; however to date I have not tried the recipe but I can tell you that that recipe states
1 x 450g can crushed pineapple.:-))

Edited to add that I would assume that the can of raspberries is about the same size - Countdown has 410g cans of raspberries.:-))

Sorry - yes was the standard 425 gram tins of fruit.
Cooking time may have varied for the second one - i didnt keep track of time, i just checked on it as i was going.

i haven't iced them.
but i think i will ice the chocolate one next time.
or i may make the pineapple one into cupcakes/muffins and ice and decorate.
