Does anyone have a recipe for a Self-Crusting Quiche please!I would like to be able to include spring onions and ham in it.

You start off with basically a pancake batter: eggs, milk and flour - then add whatever you like: any veges, ham, bacon, herbs, onions, spices.

Try out one with just cooked potatoes added and some herbs,
or with grated yellow courgettes and corn,
or with plums and cinnamon for dessert.

There are thousand of variations.
Get creative!

Self crusting quiche. (VERY GOOD)
melt 20g butter in large bowl, in same bowl add the following: 1/2C S.R flour (1/2 Cup normal with 1 t of BP.); 2C milk; 4-5 eggs; S&P; 2T chopped chives or parsley ( optional) 2C grated veggies of choice (I make mine hot in the microwave first to help speed the cooking, Ange.)and a small can tuna, or salmon, diced chicken or diced bacon rashers; 1/2 - 3/4C grated cheese. Mix all but half the cheese then pour into a deep 20x20cm baking dish, top with tomato slices, mushroom then remaining cheese. Bake at 180C for 40-50 mins. It comes out about 4-5 cm thick in a dish that size. Let it rest at least 5 or 10 mins to set, before taking out slices. posted by fruitluva2
