Please help with cooking time for lamb.

Ok, I have a boned leg of lamb from the supermarket vacuum packed in a plastic bag, it is 500g in weight.I would like to slow boil it in its plastic bag and then remove from the bag, rub on very garlicky oil and throw it on the bbq grill to crisp it up a little.Have been mulling it over for a few days.Can anyone please tell me roughly how long to leave it in the pot for! TIA
