Have you tried the Savoury Pastry the Frozen squares in supermarket, it is awesome no crumbs and yet a crisp pastry when cooked. It seems to be a lighter pastry excellent for saus rolls or bacon and egg pie. I couldnt believe there were no messy crumbs with it.

My grandson and I have used the sweet short pastry sheets for biscuits. We roll them slightly thinner, cut with cutters. We have stars, dogs, people, dinosaurs and a few others. he them decorates them with smarties and in the oven, they go. If we are short of time, one sheet of pastry gets covered with jam or Nutella, topped with another sheet and just cut into squares. I gather they are extremely popular in school lunches. As we live in different cities, they are a treat to make with Nana. Next time, I'm thinking of savoury pastry with cheese, ham or pesto.
