Hubby hates the hole left in the the bread from the blade and this one has a collapsible blade.Does anyone have this model and do you like it!

I was looking into this recently for the same reason, but the reviews seem less than glowing about the collapsible feature. Seems it gets stuck in the bread anyway. Still worth asking though as maybe they have improved the machine since those reviews were written.

I have a very old panasonic breadmaker and I have learned that if I use rapid bake half and half (wholemeal) selection that when the time shows 1hour 20mins to run it has just completed de gas and I quickly tip dough onto my wet hand and remove paddle and replace dough to rise again and cook.This means we only have a small hole in bread.

Have done this for years, possible with every breadmaker on the market, just time backwards to get to the baking cycleto know when to remove the Paddle.
