Here you are rose7, the following recipe is from the former Trademe Cooks.

"GINGERBREAD MEN – 4oz Butter, 8oz SR Flour, 4oz Soft Brown Sugar, 2 tsp Ground Ginger, 1 tsp Mixed Spice, 3tbsp Golden Syrup, 1tsp Orange Juice.
Pre heat oven 180c,
Cream Butter, Sugar, Syrup and orange juice. Add dry ingredients and then knead well. Roll out on lightly floured surface. Cut out. Bake 10 – 15 minutes.

May I add my hint.Whenever I made gingerbread 'men' for my grandchildren, I would pinch off a piece of the dough, place it between 2 pieces of baking paper, roll it to the size required, remove top piece of baking paper, used the 'cutter', then remove the cut piece, on the baking paper, onto the baking tray. Ok, I ended up with lots of little pieces of baking paper, but I have them put aside in a plastic bag and have re-used them several times. Saves trying to keep the biscuit to the cut shape when removing off the work-bench onto the baking tray.
