Have just made our fav "stout chocolate cake" for a thank you for tomorrow and thought the icing was chocolate melts and cream ( which is what I have) but it calls for sour cream and melts. Can I use cream!

Yes - chocolate ganache is generally cream and chocolate melted together

Thanks= thats what I thought, think the sour cream s because the cake is super rich
