Looking at purchasinga panasonic breadmaker SD2501 and it says that you can made jam in it! But I can get a brand new SD257 for $60 cheaper, so keen for the saving. Anyone know what the main difference is between them other than SD2501 being the latest model.

I've got a breville ikon breadmaker & I make jam in it and it's make great jam- I did have a sunbeam breadmaker - it make useless bread but great jam so now I can do 2 batches at once!

I make jam in my Breville Big Loaf breadmaker and it makes lovely jam in just the right quantity for us. I no longer buy Marmalade as I find the breadmaker recipe is much better than shop bought. I'm afraid I can't help you with your query re: Panasonic breadmakers but I'm sure someone will pop in with the information you require.

I have since found out that the SD257 apparently doesn't have a jam making setting. But it seems that others use jam settings on their bread makers although they are different brands.
Since the public registrations are closed, you must have an invite from a current member to be able to register and post in this thread.
