Who here cooks Pork Chops in Milk pls?

I do as my Mother did. I cover them in milk and slow cook them . Milk is fat soluble and makes the pork chops nice moist. My local butcher puts the chops on a layer of pineapple rings then covers in milk. It sounds a bit gross but so nice.

Wow never tried that! Would have to do it on the sly or my man would refuse to eat it haha
And i thought ginger beer & soy was exciting! haha

I have cooked it on the sly myself many times as I know friends would not try it. I tell them after they rave about them lol. 4 of my friends cook them like that now. Bake at 150 . and turn them half way though. The milk evaporates off.
Ginger beer an soy sound great how you do that pls?

People wont try something if they know its cooked in milk? wow, some sheltered taste buds there! .

I often poach chicken and pork (when we have it FR) in milk. The chicken is especially nice done in the milk if making a chicken and oyster pie as the milk is then used to make the white sauce for the pie :o)
