How do I clean a pasta maker?

DO NOT wash it.

Brush clean with a clean pastry brush.

make some flour and water dough like bread dough and work it through your pasta maker it will clean it then throw it out

And adding to this one, do not use water at all ie damp cloth, as the pasta roller will rust.

Jumping in on this 'cos I desperately need advice on cleaning mine.
Know about the 'wasted' dough method of cleaning it but mice ate their way into the box of mine when it was in storage. Can't bring myself to throw it away but don't know how to sterilise it. What should I do please!

As long as it doesn't have any plastic bits you could sterilized it post- mouse by putting it in the oven at 100 degrees for 15 minutes I think.
